MPD distributes bizarre release about cops who were caught dropping N-bomb last summer
|Minneapolis Police Department officers Brian Thole and Shawn Powell berate a Green Bay cop during a June 29 incident that may or may not have cost them their jobs.|
In a release distributed this afternoon, the Minneapolis Police Department announced that Police Chief Janeé Harteau "has reached a decision" about two officers who were caught using the N-bomb and referring to black guys as monkeys during an embarrassing incident last summer in Green Bay.

But the thing is, the release, citing privacy laws, doesn't provide any indication as to what that decision is. Were they fired? Demoted? Given a raise? It's anybody's guess.
Here's the entire release:
Following an internal affairs investigation, Chief Harteau has made a decision regarding two officers involved in the incident in Green Bay, WI on June 29, 2013. Officer Brian Thole and Officer Shawn Powell were informed of this decision earlier today. Chief Harteau is not able to provide any further details at this time due to date privacy laws.Makes you wonder -- why even bother distributing this in the first place?
