Something tells us he wasn't leaving an anger management class.
Sure, bad parking jobs can be annoying, but this is a little ridiculous.

Frank Schulte, a Minnesota lawyer for 20 years with no instances of professional misconduct on his record, allegedly lost his mind around 10 p.m. last Saturday night at the mere sight of a car parked too far from the curb for his liking.

According to the criminal complaint, a woman named Siyanny Chan was parked in front of the Domino's at 1110 Grand Avenue in St. Paul with her sister and two children, waiting for some food, when Schulte approached.

MORE LAWYERS GONE WILD: Flirtatious joke allegedly culminated in personal injury attorney stabbing man at W Hotel

He allegedly yelled at her and "starting hitting the hood of her car." Then, when Chan tried to get in between him and her vehicle, he "punched her in the right arm."

Schulte "was also calling Ms. Chan, who is Asian, racial slurs loudly enough so that others in the area heard him," the complaint says.

Schulte allegedly went as far as attempting to strangle Chan, but she was eventually able to get away and call 911 as he hopped in his vehicle and drove off.

When cops arrived, Chan's sister corroborated the story and told officers she was scared for Siyanny's life.

Police tracked down Schulte at his apartment. He told them "he was leaving a meeting and was angry because the vehicle Ms. Chan was occupying was parked far from the curb," the complaint says.

"He admitted to 'losing it,' and thumping on the hood of her car with his fist," it continues. "He also admitted to calling her some 'silly racist things,' but did not recall punching or pushing her, saying that he 'blacked out.'"

The St. Paul city attorney charged Schulte with one gross misdemeanor count of interfering with an emergency call, one misdemeanor count of causing fear of bodily harm, and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

A call placed to the Frank Schulte Law Firm went unanswered, and no answering machine was activated to record a voicemail.

I'm guessing this guy will be up before the state bar soon to determine competency to practice law.  Wonder if he has gone berserk like this before.

Should lose his right to practice, drive or be outside...

Anyone defending this guy is seriously delusional. If the report is true, and he really tried to strangle a woman over her parking job, then he needs some serious help before he actually kills someone. Get this guy off the street. Sure, you have the right to be frustrated, maybe even express yourself with a gesture or some foul language-but you NEVER have the right to put your hands on another person in an attempt to assault them or instill fear of doing so. I don't care how sick you may be of this winter. Yeah Kitty, I'm talking to you.

I admit to being picky about bad parking. I swear at bad parkers from inside my car and INSIDE MY HEAD. I even sometimes wish evil upon them. But get out of the car? Yell at them? Hit them or their car? Never. Bet he wouldn't have done it if the driver was another white guy.

Othet than hitting the woman, I agree. So sick of not just bad drivers but the ones who having you asking how they have a license. Looks like the comments disagree. Terrible drivers must need to be told they are bad so they can learn to drive

Why are people compling about this? We have all wanted to strangle idiot drivers at one point or other in our lives, this guy actually did it. Why isnt the idiot driver getting any tickets? Theyre both wrong, throw charges at both of them. Yes, he went a bit too far, but after 6 months of snow and cold and jerks that dont understand how to park or drive, I am about ready to yell mean things out my window as I drive around too.

I thought interfering with a 911 call was cause for a felony charge? And right, why didn't he get charged with assault, he punched her AND strangled her!!! He should be sitting in jail waiting to go on trial. Our at least be put on probation, and sent to anger mngmnt classes.

Really? those were all the charges against him? What happened to the assault charge? Definite proof that some people get lighter charges than others just because of who they are.

I'm sure there are lots of personal injury lawyers just waiting to help go against this idiot.

Why he wasn't charged with some degree of Assault is beyond me? If I did that to someone they'd throw the book at me. Must be nice to be an Attorney.

Yes he would.  It doesn't matter who was there, he would have gone off on them.  Even a cop.

YES!  Especially Lyndale Avenue through from Franklin to Lake -- PARK TO THE DAMN CURB!  Can't even use the right lane for a damn.  Don't get me started on people making that left into the Wedge CoOp- -- Why on earth don't you go around the block so you can make a right instead of a left DEAD Center between blocks---on Lyndale of all streets. </end rant>
