Maybe the schedule of truck drivers should be such that they can slow down instead of feeling pressure from deadlines! Slow vehicles keep right and be prepared when those monsters pass and white out your windshield!

I saw 4 yesterday. I was behind one when it happened. We were only going 5 mph or so. He tapped his brakes, and just slid diagonally right off the road. It was crazy watching it happen.

It's funny when 4 wheeler drivers act like they are not like other 4 wheelers.

Jared, your statement that they aren't innocent is basically true however, have you ever wondered why??? Try driving one, or any large rig, or even pickup pulling heavy/large loads and see what happens. If they didn't learn to drive the way they do, they'd get walked all over... I'd say 90% of the drivers out there have no idea what the consequences are for shooting the gap and then hitting the brakes or all the other crap that they do on our roads and highways. It's simple math... Mass versus mass the bigger one wins in the end, and yes it's probably going to hurt too.

What about medical shipments.....drugs, lab specimens, equipment? How about USPS? Some of us want and need our mail sent and delivered.

Truck drivers may be well trained but what most over them fail to do is respect the fact that other vehicles can't maneuver and handle the road the way their heavy trucks can and they need to slow down and realize the clouds of snow that their trucks kick up as they fly by passing you and the strong drafts they cause can cause other accidents as well. Some cars are stupid as well but truckers are far from innocent either and quite often just as disrespectful to everyone else on the road

I'd bet 90% of the issue is due to other drivers, not the fault of the truck drivers. And yes, they should all stay off the roads until next week when the roads are better right?!! Ha. Oh wait, Cub/Rainbow is out of meat/bread? ! Gas stations have no fuel?! Let's All complain about that! Maybe u don't realize how dependent we are on them.... just ignorant.

And perhaps you're not going to complain about store shelves and gas stations being empty or not getting your mail to your post office until the roads are drivable then.

Chances are, it's a stupid car driver causing the highly trained truck driver to Jackknife and avoid killing said stupid car driver.

Or Valorie could not be a dick about people trying to do their jobs in treacherous conditions.

Jared, you have no clue what your talking about. I've been driving a truck for almost 30 years & the sh** that I've seen cars do in front of trucks would drive YOU bonkers

Unfortunately, many of these truck drivers don't have the common sense or wisdom to know when to stop.  'Trying to do their jobs' is not an excuse.  If it is treacherous conditions, why risk it?

Yes, the professional drivers are the stupid ones.
