Sarah Palin endorses Julianne Ortman while calling Al Franken "a Big Fat Liberal"

Sarah Palin announced her support today for Julianne Ortman, the MNGOP senator who's hoping to step up to Al Franken in a race that the former Alaska governor is calling "The Clown vs. the Mama Grizzly."

In making her endorsement, Palin also took shots at Ortman's leading Republican rival, Mike McFadden, a businessman whom she called a "well-funded favorite of the Washington GOP establishment whose policy is a blank slate." Back in January, McFadden reported to have raised $1.7 million for the campaign, an amount that dramatically exceeded the other GOP contenders.

Sarah PAC posted the endorsement in two places and couldn't get
it straight whether Ortman had worked to plug a deficit of $5 billion or
$6 billion while heading a state senate tax committee. At least one
thing the Palin crowd is sure of: "Julianne is a fighter for life and for our
Second Amendment rights" who ran "a successful legal practice" that
fought on behalf of small businesses. Oh, and:

Al Franken's career has been a joke; we all know this. The biggest joke of
all though is not funny at all because the American people are the punch
line. This joke? The fact that Franken has voted 100% (!) of the time
with Barack Obama. This just proves what we already knew - Al Franken is
a Big Fat Liberal.

The urge to parody Franken's book -- Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot -- behind her, Palin then turned her attention to Franken's famous SNL character, Stuart Smalley.

Let's make this proven conservative the one to take the
fight to Al Franken this fall and make him the punch line. Julianne
Ortman is the choice. She is good enough, she is smart enough, and
doggone it, people like her!

Representatives of Ortman's, McFadden's, and Franken's campaigns have not returned our messages seeking comment.

I support Julianne Ortmann. I've met her and heard her speak. I felt she was truthful and would do what ever she could for the state of Minnesota. She loves this state. She's also shopped at my place of employment and is very sweet.

"Make him the punchline". The writers of her reality show came up with that zinger.

Local people like Norm Coleman, perhaps? Like Al said, he's the only New York Jew in the race who's actually FROM Minnesota.

I believe Ms. Ortman is pretty low on the fund raising list. It is safe to say her chances don't look very promising. However she did have her picture taken with Sarah Palin.

Franken raised the issue. I didn't say that I agreed with it! The point is that he has been active, as opposed to what the GOPers are saying.

Ha, that's funny! OK Rick & Dave, I asked YOU a question. What has he done or sponsored that YOU like. Any ass wipe can post an internet link, and you chose to post one that was written by him, his staff or a paid PR hire. Talk about skew. Michelle Bachmann also paid people to write fluff about her. Would you agree with her finely tuned paid writings? Doubt it. What touched you? What bill has he pushed that helped YOU. Idots…

So the Grifter is in town to fleece her Brain Dead followers. I am sure every mouth breathing, slobbering, knuckle dragging xenophobe from the 6th District will make the pilgrimage to buy her coaster, I mean book. Did she bring her daughter with the bastard child?

Sarah who? Or is it just my wish that she dropped off the face of the earth? What a loser. Press needs to stop reporting on her. I wish Sarah and Michelle Bachman would run off to stupid land together and never to seen or heard from again!

Sarah PAC, Sarah Palin's political action committee, raised more than $1.4 million in the second-half of 2009, according to the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza. That figure brings the group's fundraising haul to $2.1 million for 2009. Cillizza reports:

...Sarah PAC and ended the year with $900,000 in the bank. She donated $64,600 to candidates and party committees.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate had her political organization spend more than $63,000 on what her reports describe as "books for fundraising donor fulfillment." ...... And her committee paid her publisher $20,000 for what appears to have been the cost of sending her personal photographer and another aide along on her book tour.

Don't forget her con artist daughter either:

Three years later, Bristol Palin has become well-compensated for speaking against teen pregnancy. The non-profit group the Candie's Foundation paid her a reported $262,500 to be an ambassador for teen-pregnancy prevention, a role that included a public service announcement in which she warned others not to follow in her footsteps.

The Palins are con artists that con very stupid people into giving them money.  Republicans are stupid and easily tricked.

If you guys quit reading stories about Sarah Palin, folks won't write about her anymore, and then she will disappear. Very simple formula.

Endorsing frontrunners in districts they're not going to lose doesn't really give an indication of her clout.

Julianne no doubt knows that Big Mama Grizzly carries the most CLOUT with Conservative/Tea Partier Grassroots Americans, and should get a huge boost from this Palin endorsement.

Remember this from 2010?

"Palin's ability to propel tea party-aligned candidates into office was a well-documented phenomenon in 2010, when she endorsed over 60 Senate, House and gubernatorial candidates, the majority of whom won. Her midterm travels even inspired The Washington Post to launch a "Palin Endorsements Tracker," complete with clickable audio of a growling grizzly bear, an homage to her self-styled "Mama Grizzly" image." ~ Peter Hamby, CNN journalist
