Officers gather at the site of last Thursday's murder.
Earlier this week, 16-year-old Joshua Ford was charged with murder for allegedly shooting a dad who confronted him on a Metro Transit Route 19 bus in north Minneapolis for harassing his son.

Today's comment of the day goes to tired, who appears to have unearthed Ford's colorful Facebook account.

Here's tired's comment:

What's wrong with looking at what we are up against? What's wrong with looking at what this young man was up against? What's wrong with looking at what our communities as a whole are up against? What is it they're up against? A mentality of disrespect that demands respect at gunpoint. A mentality of brutality without mercy. A mentality of self destruction that takes no responsibility. It won't be solved by hugs or jail or more guns. It starts with a mentality of respect that demands respect without the gun. A respect for self and others, which takes a large amount of restraint. In other words, it's a solution that isn't quick and it's far from easy.

Man. This is sad. A lost teenage boy kills a person. This world is desperate for a change. That's two lives gone. It's just the 16 year old is still here physically. But mentally, he's not here at all.

At what point did guns become so available? Many a 16 year old has made a very bad horrible decision. I wish this young man did not have access to a gun.

I don't care how old someone is, this kind of thing is part of the problem with our system. CP this is in bad taste- why share the kid's fb page? Anyone who wanted to find it could have. He's been accused of murder but not convicted- only facts that are relevant to the case should be reported on. Your journalism skills are lacking as are your ethics.

Go ahead and claim its all our fault. Personal responsibility absolutely applies to 16 yr old youth. Humans know the diff between right and wrong pretty early even despite growing up in poverty, ghetto, absence of parents. This is such a liberal hack of a statement. Why don't you start taking in these troubled youth then if you're so proactive. And I'd love to see you try and hug the kid as he pulls out his glock.

At what point did kids stop fearing adults? There was a time not long ago that you would take a yelling or scolding from an adult for being an idiot and you would respect that.

Not a Good Look, CP. This is not something that is fucking funny. That child who chose to shoot a man...that is our fault. That is YOUR fault. That is MY fault. That is EVERYONE's fault. That child, with a gun. That child seeks love with that gun. That's where he has come to, and that is OUR fault. That is a Problem. His feelings got hurt and his next best idea was to reach out that bus and shoot a man, with a child, on a street. Don't put a link to that child's facebook page. Why did you do that? To show what? That he's a teen age boy? With girlfriends and homies and pictures without his shirt? As a testament to how this could happen?? As an excuse to how a child gets a gun and then kills a community elder over Hurt Feelings??? We failed to teach that child how to deal with Hurt Feelings. That is our fault. I don't know that child nor his family. I wish I could hug them. And the family of that man who was killed. I have a young son. And both sides of this story scare me.

I don't understand these comment of the day posts. Are these supposed to be witty, comical, insightful, or something?

Apparently this is more fodder for internet snarkiness for this citypages writer. Aaron Rupar if you want to be too cute by half, send your resume over to Gawker. This is not a cheeky comment of the day subject. You and your comment of the day cohort on not cute. Check yourself.
