Minneapolis cops believe they've arrested the man responsible for the North Side triple shooting that capped off a violent week in north Minneapolis earlier this month.

Six days after the Minneapolis Police Department released a photo of two "persons of interest" in connection with the incident, Delonte Thomas, a 19-year-old North Side resident, was hit yesterday with three felony attempted murder charges and three felony assault charges for allegedly shooting three women at least eight times each at a July 9 birthday party at 3551 Fremont Ave. N.

All three victims had emergency surgery and are expected to survive, authorities say.

During an interview at North Memorial Medical Center, "Victim A" told police she knows Thomas as "D." According to the complaint, she was upset because Thomas brought "Witness 1" to the birthday party and told him as much. Witness 1 later told police he or she heard one gunshot while Thomas and Victim A argued at the party. (The complaint doesn't specify whether Witness 1 is a man or woman, or whether the first shot hit anybody.)

Thomas, Witness 1, and Witness 2 left the party in a gold 2003 Pontiac Bonneville. It's unclear whether the first shooting was initially reported to police. But about 15 minutes later, Thomas "requested to be brought back to the party," the complaint says, citing Witness 1's account of events.

After Witness 1 dropped Thomas and Witness 2 off near the party, a series of shots rang out. Victim A later said Thomas "began shooting as he ran toward her," and two other women were shot as well. Cops were called, and upon arrival, "officers observed three female victims lying in the backyard with significant injuries."

Blood stains were still visible on the backyard grass the next day, and 10 bullet casings -- one from a 9mm and nine from a .40 caliber -- were found at the scene: Thomas is currently in custody. His bail has been set at $1 million. Nobody else has been charged in connection with the incident.

Rumors in the hood are that the primary victim gave the shooter HIV and that's what the argument was about

What I find interesting, is yet another wannabe gang banger shooting other African American people.  I can;t help feel sorry for those who get caught up in this type of warfare.

Firstly, maybe the journalist should interview the kids parents, and ask them why they raised a murderer (allegedly).  Should his parents and himself pay for such a terrible crime?  Should the person who brought him back to the scene be charged with assisting him?

Secondly, where the hell did he get a gun?  Why are we not questioning why he's carrying around a loaded weapon?

I'm all for partitioning those people who want to carrying guns unlawfully, and remove them from society.  These people bring nothing but drama and crime with their reckless behavior.  If there is justice, this idiot should be sentenced for life, and then forced to survive the same punishment.

Maybe his parents should pay the medical bills of those involved....

He shot each 8 times?  So 24 shots?  If that's correct, he actually reloaded and kept going.  And they all 3 survive.  He can't even kill right.  Waste.

I saw all this on FB and the day before City Pages said that neighborhood was "explosive " seems like lots of people knew something, yet no one did anything. Like surveillance ? Drama addicts.
