Raising awarness about the plight of local moms...
A reader named Michael got in touch and sent us video he shot of that road sign on St. Paul's Shepard Road that was messed with last week to read... well, you can see it at the top of this page.

Michael was so shocked to see the message about local moms and their needs as he drove along that he pulled off and shot a few seconds of footage, then set the clip to Frank Sinatra's "My Way."

Here it is:

Though the clip concludes with Frank signing about regrets, it appears whoever is responsible for the lewd message won't receive any punishment beyond a guilty conscience.

St. Paul Police Department spokesman Paul Paulos says his department won't be investigating and referred us to the State Patrol to ask if they'll look into what appears to be a clear violation of the law against sign tampering. But State Patrol spokesman Eric Roeske says that since Shepard Road isn't a state highway, his department won't be concerning itself with the matter either.

Asked how out of the norm a stunt like this is, Paulos says, "It's unusual."

"Those signs are put in very visible spots, and it's pretty brazen to go in a visible spot and do that because even if you were to at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning, you're taking a chance of getting caught," Paulos tells us. "They're there so they can be seen, so this is unusual."

The best article Aaron Rupar has ever published, but that also isn't saying much at all to his credit either.

I figured this was written by that dummy Aaron Rupar: king of overkill when it comes to bullshit "stories". I can't believe they let this idiot write for the city pages.
