Brock Lesnar is no longer an Ultimate Fighter
Brock Lesnar retired from the UFC tonight after losing in the first round to Alistair Overeem.

Lesnar took a brutal liver kick that crumbled him to the ground, then Overeem continually punched Brock in the face until the referee called a halt to the bout.

Immediately afterward, Brock told Joe Rogan that it was the last time we would see him in the Octagon. He said he promised his wife and kids he would fight once more for the heavyweight title if he won, or would retire if he lost.

Brock Lesnar didn't fight the law, but the law won anyway.

The former UFC heavyweight champion and U of M wrestling standout pleaded guilty to improper tagging of an animal for shooting a mule deer buck in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. In exchange, two other related charges were dropped.

In punishment, Lesnar was fined $1,725 and had his hunting license suspended for six months.

Brock Lesnar doesn't need to follow no damn hunting rules!
Brock Lesnar was the subject of a court hearing in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada yesterday for alleged hunting violations.

Lesnar and co-defendant Chad Stryker were charged with three violations of the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Act, but didn't appear in court. The hearing was postponed until January 19.

The poster released today to promote the December 30 fight provides a physical representation of what it will look like when these two goliaths square off in the Octagon.

But though they may resemble each other in physique, their mixed martial arts styles could not be more different.

Brock Lesnar won't be allowed to bring the gun with him into the UFC Octagon.
Brock Lesnar survived diverticulitis surgery and is ready to return to the UFC to fight for the heavyweight belt, according to a bizarre and unexpected new video released today.

The video, released by Lesnar sponsor Fusion Ammunition, begins with Brock wielding a massive machine gun and announcing that he's back. Later in the video, Brock pronounces that he's 100% healthy and ready to fight.

"What's new in the life of Brock Lesnar? Well, recently I went under the knife and had surgery for my diverticulitis. I feel like a new man, I feel great, healthy, strong - I feel like I used to feel."

​Brock Lesnar has finally gone under the knife for his chronic diverticulitis.

The former UFC heavyweight champion thought he had the disease beat with medication and diet adjustments after it derailed him last year. But it became clear a few weeks ago that surgery was needed, and a foot of his colon was carved away on Friday.

Brock Lesnar has fallen ill with diverticulitis again.
Brock Lesnar is sick with diverticulitis again.

The U of M wrestling standout, former UFC heavyweight champion, and current star of The Ultimate Fighter reality show has suffered a relapse of the illness that almost left him needing a colostomy bag in early 2010.

The news was announced by UFC President Dana White in a hastily arranged media call at 5 p.m. EST today. It means that Lesnar will not be able to fight Junior dos Santos, which was supposed to be the culmination of the reality TV season, as well as the No. 1 contender match for the heavyweight strap.

U of M wrestling standout Brock Lesnar may be larger than life, but on the small screen he hasn't yet captured the big ratings.

According to reported figures, the debut of The Ultimate Fighter 13 starring Brock Lesnar as a coach scored a meager 1.0 household rating with 1.5 million viewers.

Lesnar was on the SNL alum's program to promote the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter that Brock's coaching, along with his newly released autobiography, Death Clutch.

Brock Lesnar, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and University of Minnesota standout wrestler, is a man with a fascinating life story.

But it has remained largely hidden because of Lesnar's famous reticence to allow the media into his life.

Now Lesnar has revealed the cover of his new autobiography "Death Clutch: My Story of Determination, Domination, and Survival."

"It's a book about my life story," Lesnar explains in the video below. "My fight to the top through the WWE and the UFC, despite all the doubters, and despite fighting through injuries and illness."
