Tom Emmer says faculty opposition persuaded Hamline to revoke the offer.
Ever since he lost the gubernatorial race last year, Tom Emmer has been having a tough time trying to land a new career.

Earlier this year, Emmer, also a lawyer and former state representative, lost a bid for Republican National Committeeman, and later took a gig as a radio jock at Fox News-affiliated KTLK-FM.

Now Emmer's calling foul on Hamline University, which he claims offered him a teaching position, but later revoked it after complaints from faculty who didn't agree with his politics.

Tom Emmer thinks Nick Espinosa should be arrested for assault and, uh, littering?
When Tom Emmer ran into gay rights advocate/prankster Nick Espinosa at the Minnesota State Fair, it looked a lot more likely that Emmer would hurt Espinosa than the other way around. He didn't, but Emmer was pretty forceful in telling Espinosa to "take a hike."

But rather than using old-timer tough talk to deal with Espinosa's pranksters, Emmer's got a better idea: Get the cops and district attorneys involved, and lock these criminals up!

On the Davis and Emmer radio show this morning, Emmer felt like he needed to stick up for "the marriage amendment folks," referring to anti-gay marriage group Minnesota for Marriage, whose booth was the target of a horrific glitter-bombing at the State Fair. There were no survivors.

No, just kidding. But Emmer still freaked out pretty good about it.

"You know what?" Emmer asked his listeners. "It's an assault."

Attention Emmer supporters: Just look for this sign.
Republican candidate for Tom Emmer has scheduled a GOP rally right down the road from the strip club where his son, Tripp, visited right before he got busted for underage drinking in July.

Emmer kindly posted a map to the Sept. 29 rally on his website, but he left off directions to Lookers over in Carlos. An oversight, we're sure, so we've posted our own map to help his supporters find the place.
