​Everyone has an opinion about the killing of Osama bin Laden. In Minnesota, a lot of them used Twitter to luxuriate in sweet revenge for 9/11. Others found absurd humor in reactionary politics, or lamented that the state of the world hasn't changed very much in the past 24 hours.

Don't drive on 94! Or 35W! Or 494! Accidents everywhere, lanes closed, misery ahead!

Maybe you are a traffic nut, but we're worn out just reading the last couple hours of tweets from the Minnesota Department of Transportation's new Twitter feed. Now you can get up-to-date information about all traffic in the metro area in tweet form.

We're pretty convinced we can't get home now after reading those tweets. Where are the roads clear and where can we be guaranteed to be safe? This is stressing us out. And then MnDOT tweets a new accident warning as we're driving home and as we reach for our phone to check to ensure our drive home is clear, we cause an accident of our own.

A recent Computerworld Canada story broke the news that the retailing giant's help wanted ad for a Senior Manager-Emerging Marketing position at its Richfield, MN corporate headquarters listed two job qualifications: "a graduate degree and 250+ followers on Twitter."

Many politicians think Twitter is the new essential tool in their never-ending attempt to spin political mayhem and "connect" with constituents. They probably didn't think it was going to cause news when they started making snarky comments on their Twitter accounts.

And now two GOP Minnesota House members have filed an ethics complaint against a DFL member for some tweets that might have gone too far. If you have a stick up your hoo-ha.
