If you follow local fashion, you've undoubtedly heard the names
Amanda Christine and
Kimberly
Jurek.

These two dedicated designers have been rockin' the Twin Cities style circuit for a number of years, participating in runway shows and selling their lovely garments in boutiques both locally and nationally. On Friday, you'll get an up close and personal gander at their latest collections at Lyndale Avenue fashionista favorite,
Cliche. Meet the designers, stock up on locally-bred styles for this month's impending
MNFashion Week events, enjoy complimentary refreshments and hot tunes from Ken Hannigan (Anthem Heart). Read more about the designers and see images from their Spring 2010 collections below!
Amanda Christine is a designer known for her elegant yet unusual cuts, sculptural structures and thoughtful draping. From a subtle shoulder flair that gives a simple silhouette its "wow" factor, to bold and startling lines applied to the concept of the "little black dress," AC's Spring collection speaks to the sophisticated dame who appreciates a little modern art in her design.

Kimberly Jurek of Kjurek Couture on the other hand, tends to design on the more classic side of things while still employing a graceful and fresh design aesthetic. Jurek's work is decidedly feminine with the occasional ruffle and demurely draped neckline, but delivers a one-two punch when it comes to rich, exotic colors and patterns.
