With MN Fashion Week in full swing, this is an excellent weekend to check out some of the free fashion parties around town, from a charity events to high fashion to t-shirt sales. But don't worry if you're not a fashionista; there are plenty of other cool events for you too, including dance parties, rock shows, and a reading with Neil Gaiman.

This super-popular dance night is less about philosophical conundrums and more about getting out on the floor and moving your feet. The evening's homecoming performance will please dancers; this is their first show since their trip to SXSW. DJs Espada, Petey Wheatstraw, So Gold, and Anton will spin tunes to make you happy (and thirsty for another cocktail, which there will be plenty of). They'll also be giving away limited edition t-shirts by local graphic design/illustrator Adam Garcia of the Pressure, so get there early (we hear they're being distributed via lottery). 21+. 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
