Mighty Swell: A Vintage Pop-Up Shop
Shopping for vintage clothing that hasn't caught the attention of hungry moths takes a treasure hunter's mentality and dedication. And finding those particularly scrumptious pieces can also be a time consuming affair. Minneapolis-based bloggers and vintage clothing collectors Meghan McAndrews and Rae Danneman have remedied the plight of not having a one-stop clothing jackpot by organizing Mighty Swell: A Vintage Pop-Up Shop.
This Saturday and Sunday, Umber Studios will turn into a finely curated vintage store. Not only will there be clothes from past eras, but there will also be accessories, home decor, and small furniture. Featured vendors include other local bloggers High Plains Thrifter, Bourbon & Lace, Salvaged Strawberry, two birds, Geisha Pearl Vintage, and Tula Baru. Shoppers can catch a sneak peak of the goods at Mighty Swell and on Twitter.
Even though this is a temporary retail event, we can't help but think it will pop up again in the future, just as all worthy fashion trends do.
Mighty Swell will be open on Saturday, October 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, October 3 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Umber Studios, 3109 East 42nd Street. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
