Neil Gaiman's Sandman may be adapted by Warner Brothers TV
Though the news isn't official, fans may find themselves wary of this creative effort. Will Morpheus and his dysfunctional Endless family be given the angsty teen treatment a la Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, and Pretty Little Liars?
We're not holding our breath yet--the series has been in development hell since the mid-'90s. More recently--and perhaps more promising--DC Entertainment had been in talks with HBO on creating a series, though plans never came to fruition.
Though no writers or producers are officially attached to the project at this time, Eric Kripke of CW's never-ending Supernatural series is rumored to be on a shortlist for consideration.
Will the Sandman series ever make it to television or film? For now, we can only dream. And this is probably a good thing.
