This upcoming Halloween season marks the fourth year for the scariest haunted house in town--one that is so intense that they make you sign a waiver before you can enter. Yesterday marked the start of ticket sales. Most nights sell out quickly, so be sure to purchase tickets early if you are dying to go.

The project works a little like a group show in that each year a handful of artists are invited to collaborate and create freaky scenes based off of a common theme. This year's will revolve around distortion, so we're anticipating an unsettling exercise in disorientation. Participating artists this year include Eli Anthony, Molly Gillin, Alison Hiltner, Gary Smith, and Dave Sweeney.

Tickets went on sale yesterday and are $20 each. The Haunted Basement opens earlier this season, running from October 1 through Halloween. All attendees must be 18 or older, and even though this makes for a good date night don't even think of wearing heels (they only slow you down should you need to escape).

For more information and to purchase pre-sale tickets, visit the Soap Factory's website.
