Thinking about getting a tattoo? This your opportunity to succumb to the ink. There's no better time to say yes to that full sleeve or tiny ankle tat because this weekend Minneapolis will be teeming with over 200 of the world's best tattoo artists.

The Minneapolis Tattooed Arts Convention will be taking over the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis beginning Friday, October 8 until Sunday, October 10. And even if tattoos aren't your thing, the convention promises to be quite a spectacle. The Enigma will be there--you know, that daredevil musician who has tattoos covering his entire body. The world famous Penguin Boy will make an appearance as well. There will be tattoo contests, an art gallery, a burlesque show, and vaudeville-style performances by Olde City Sideshow. There will also be live tattooing all weekend, of course.

The Minneapolis Tattooed Arts Convention will be open this Friday from 2 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 per day or $40 for the weekend and will only be sold at the show. For all other information call 1.800.541.8239 or go to villainarts.com. For discounted room rates, be sure to mention the tattoo convention.

City Pages has slideshows up from last year's convention up as well, including the good and the sexiest examples we could find.
