Looking for a different theatrical experience? Do you want food with that? For the 13th year, curators Laurie Carlos and e.g. bailey bring Non English Speaking Spoken Here: The Late Night Series to the Pillsbury House Theatre in Minneapolis. The program, presented over the next month on Saturdays, features an exciting mix of writers, performers and musicians from New York and Minnesota.

And the food? Prior to each performance, local chefs will offer up their own creations for the audience. This Saturday's program features Stacy Karen Robinson from New York, a trio of Twin-Cities performers, and music from DJO.

Robinson is an actor and playwright. Her 2009 work, Quiet Frenzy, earned a BRIO Award in playwriting from the Bronx Council for the Arts, and the show will be performed at Northwestern University in 2011 as part of the school's solo/black/woman series.

Transplanted New Yorker Anton Jones fuses many disciplines for his art, which includes The FUNeral (developed at the Playwright's Center) and Tokens 'n Change: A Hip Hop Drama (for the Illusion Theatre). Amy Salloway creates original works about body image, loneliness, and the search for self-worth. She has crafted a number of pieces for the Minnesota Fringe Festival, including Does This Monologue Make Me Look Fat? and So Kiss Me Already, Herschel Gertz! Musician Ashley Gold will release her first ep, Late Bloomer, this fall.

Food and mingling in the theater's lobby starts at 8 p.m., with the performance following at 9 p.m. The remaining show will be November 13. Tickets are $5 and $10. Call 612.825.0459 for more information.
