Lizz Winstead hosts Planned Parenthood fundraiser

​Minnesota can claim a great variety of celebrities, ranging from strip-tease artist Lily St. Cear to Airplane! star Peter Graves. Today, we proudly claim Lizz Winstead, who is perhaps most famously known as co-creator of the wildly popular The Daily Show. Tonight she is returning to her native state not only as a comedian, writer, performer, and political satirist, but also as an advocate of Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Action Fund has organized a rousing evening for its fund-raising event titled An evening of laughter and relief with Lizz Winstead. Longtime board member and supporter Lee Lynch will emcee, and proceeds will go towards providing aid to the organization, and, as a result, all of the men and women who seek its services.

This event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at Solera (900 Hennepin Ave. S.). Tickets can be purchased online, and prices start at $50. There will be a cash bar and complimentary hor d'oeuvres.
