'National Geographic Traveler' ranks Saint Paul Winter Carnival number 4
The huge sprawling festival hasn't gone unnoticed outside of the Twin Cities; National Geographic Traveler recently named it the fourth best winter carnival in the world.
Beating out our festival on the top 10 list is Canada's Winterlude Festival (in Ottawa, Ontario), New York's Saranac Lake Winter Carnival, and the curiously named Fur Rendezvous (Anchorage, Alaska) takes the top spot. New Hampshire, Colorado, and Sapporo, Japan were cities that also had festivals that made the cut.
