What To Where: Rewind Vintage, Art-A-Whirl, Anchor

Every other week, What To Where will profile a clothing store, an accompanying event, and a restaurant within one of Minneapolis/St. Paul's unique neighborhoods. We'll showcase the Cities' incredibly diverse group of stylistas and show you how owning your individual style can be more powerful than simply following trends.
All dressed up with nowhere to go? We'll take you there. Plus, each post will feature a chance to win some awesome stuff from the featured venues.

Summer is here again, which means it's time for one of our favorite activities: Stocking up our closets. You don't have to spend a ton of money to do it, and here in Minneapolis there are plenty of options for refreshing your style on the cheap.
What to Where likes to kick off summer by heading to Rewind Vintage, a boutique that's tops in fostering individuality. With two Minneapolis locations, Rewind's pieces have only a short trip home to most of your closets. One of Rewind's best assets is their staff: They're friendly, relaxed, and always willing to help you find exactly what you're looking for -- even if you're not sure. They stock a huge representation from every era: From the perfect Mad Men-esque summer frock to a wicked pair of acid washed jeans (or might we suggest ... both at once?!), we had no trouble searching out a ton of killer looks!

Another sure sign that summer has arrived is Art-A-Whirl! A standout among Minneapolis' many annual art events, Art-A-Whirl takes Minneapolis by storm beginning this Friday and runs through Sunday at 50+ locations in our Northeast Arts district. We love Art-A-Whirl for its art and artists, of course, but it's also one of the best events to see and (most importantly) be seen!

Now, are you a starving artist ... connoisseur? What to Where's got you there, too. To cap off your artistically stylish trip through Northeast, stop by The Anchor Fish & Chips on 13th Avenue NE. We hear their fish 'n' chips taste best fresh off their brand-new food truck, which is making its debut this weekend. Duck inside to grab a Grain Belt Nordeast and raise a toast to successfully doing Northeast Minneapolis in style!
Bonus: Tweet a photo of what you wear to Art-A-Whirl 2012 to @cpdressingroom, @rewind_vintage, and @the_anchor_mpls for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Rewind and a $50 gift card to The Anchor!
