This weekend looks to be a real summertime scorcher, with temps possibly hitting as high as 100 degrees on Sunday. With that in mind there are many great free events happening outside to take your mind off the heat. In this edition of Freeloader Friday there are not one, but two 24-hour festivals. One is the Northern Spark, featuring art installations, performances, parties, and more around town. The other is BioBlitz, a science fest where professors and volunteers attempt to count as many species as possible in a specific area.

Other activities on our list include the Lyndale Open Street Fest, a '90s dance party, and a bike messenger movie starring Kevin Bacon. Come take a look.
