David Cronenberg Retrospective lineup announced

If you never got the opportunity to see James Woods pry a mutant gun out of his own stomach on the big screen, we have good news for you.

The Film Society of Minneapolis/St. Paul has announced its David Cronenberg Retrospective lineup, and it doesn't disappoint. Among the highlights: The Fly, Dead Ringers, and, of course, Videodrome.

The Film Society is partnering with the Guthrie Theater for the festival, which was inspired by Guthrie Fall director in residence Christopher Hampton. Hampton wrote the screenplay for Cronenberg's 2011 film A Dangerous Method, and will be answering questions at the movie's September 24 screening.
