Marriage amendment leads 50 to 43
Freshwater Theatre Company is one of many theater groups and arts organizations standing up against the proposed marriage amendment on the ballot this November. In addition to voicing their opposition, the Freshwater has gone a step further. For their fall show, Better (or) Worse, which looks at how marriage has been defined and re-defined through the ages, the company is donating proceeds to Minnesota United for All Families, which is organizing against the amendment. This Saturday, they are also hosting a cabaret-style event, called Night Swim, which will be an evening of poetry, music, and performance.
