Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City know that Ramona Singer enjoys her pinot grigio. In true Singer form, she decided to turn her passion into a business, creating her own brand of wine.

The successful entrepreneur -- who started her first company at age 29 and currently has a skincare line, a jewelry collection, and her own Amazon store -- says that fans would continually ask what her favorite brand of pinot grigio was. She was constantly trying to find the perfect wine when her husband, Mario, suggested the she create her own line.

Singer teamed up with Opici Wines to create Ramona Singer Pinot Grigio, which is made in the Veneto region of Italy.

"We made this fabulous wine with pear notes," Singer says. "I really wanted it to have a smooth finish. Whether or not you're having food with wine, I think most people like it when the finish is smooth. My wine has no bite. It's really refreshing. It's light, it's crisp, and the finish is smooth."

Creating a finished product that was true to her personal style was important to Singer, right down to the label.

"I actually designed my label because I know that when I want to try a new wine, I'm attracted to a label," she says. "Sometimes when you don't know what to try, a label can guide you. I designed one that I felt was very appealing on the shelf. It's something that I would gravitate to and would buy."

As Singer continues to advance her career, fans often ask what the secret to her success is.

"My daughter [Avery] asks me all the time, 'Mom, how am I going to be as successful as you?' I just say to her -- and to anyone who asks me for the advice -- to follow your passion. If you really love what you're doing, you'll be successful because that passion comes through," she says.

Singer says that her motivation and drive come from her mother, who taught her the importance of being self-sufficient.

"My mother really instilled in me to make my own way and not to depend on someone else financially, but to depend upon myself," says Singer. "The reason she did that is because I grew up in a house where my dad abused my mom, both physically and verbally. I'm the oldest of four children, and I would ask Mom, 'Why don't you leave Dad?' She'd say, 'I can't because I have no money.' At that time, there were no domestic abuse shelters to go to -- which is one of the reasons I'm very passionate about supporting them now -- but nothing like that existed in my time. I put myself through college, I opened my own business at 29, I was a buyer for Macy's. I did a lot before I turned 40. I did it with no connections -- just me, myself, and I -- and perseverance. If I can do it, anyone can do it."

This year will mark Singer's fifth season on The Real Housewives of New York City, and she says that upcoming episodes will be drama-filled.

"You're going to see Aviva [Drescher] completely go after me until the final episode. This will be the first Housewives season that I've filmed in five years where everyone didn't end on a good note. She and I still did not end up on a good note. If you saw the show last week, she was attacking me, and she just attacks me nonstop through all 18 episodes," Singer says.

Despite the drama, Singer says she enjoys being part of the show.

"I do have fun and I'm going to continue to do the show as long as I'm having fun," Singer says.
