Nordstrom is coming to Ridgedale Center

While it's unclear what will be happening to the huge space vacated by Macy's in downtown St. Paul, the fate of the Macy's Men's and Home Businesses shop in Ridgedale Center has been decided. Nordstrom announced today that it will be opening a full-line store in the Minnetonka mall in fall 2015.

Yesterday, Macy's released a press release stating that its downtown St. Paul location would be closing, and the two stores located in Ridgedale Center would be merging into one department store. The consolidation is slated to be be complete in early 2014.

Meanwhile, Nordstrom will be opening a second full-line Minnesota location in the vacant slot. The project is set to be finished in fall of 2015. The Mall of America stores, which include a full-line department store and a Nordstrom Racks, are said to be some of the most successful stores in the chain.
