VICE releases 'The Real Cat Ladies of Minneapolis' video

Last year's Internet Cat Video Festival at the Walker Art Center attracted a wide variety of cat fanatics, celebrity cats, and folks from the media eager to document the cuteness. VICE magazine was one media outlet in search of cat people.

While in Minneapolis, they chatted with a handful of female feline enthusiasts, which included a cat lady with a deaf cat named Squirrel, two women with plans to costume their four cats Harry Potter-style this Halloween, and a pink-haired cat owner with an unusual (and energetic) breed of kitty.

You can watch the adorable results in the short video clip below. Up next they will be releasing a feature-length piece on the cat-famous Lil' Bub, premiering at the TriBeCa Film Festival in April.

Locals looking to get their cat fix this summer can check out the second annual Internet Cat Video Fest, which the Walker is presenting at the Minnesota State Fair, because this thing has gotten so big that they need a stadium arena to host the crowds.
