Ballet of the Dolls announces its 2013-14 season
The group just announced its 2013-14 lineup, and it looks to be a challenging season. Johnson, who has proven himself to be quite prolific over the years, is set to create original dances number 217 to 222. Other promising announcements include the troupe traveling from its home at the Ritz in northeast Minneapolis to the Cowles for a special performance, plus the creation of Burlesque Dolls Productions, which will be hosting the Twin Cities Burlesque Festival.

Love and romance abound in the season opener. The Dolls will be traveling to the Cowles for this family-friendly performance.
"Nutcracker (Not So) Suite"
Tired of the classic Nutcracker tale? The return of this popular seasonal offering features Barbie and Ken.
The Twin Cities Burlesque Festival: The Great Minnesota Strip Together
January 30 - February 1
Local talents Queenie von Curves and Sweetpea will curate this evening with the help of Ballet of the Dolls. The festival also includes improv nights, classes, and workshops from local and visiting talents.

Myron Johnson says it best in the press release: "I plan to take this music and f__k it up, twist it up and turn it upside-down and inside-out. Real classy sh_t."
"Fashion Ball: A Fashion Holiday"
Its a fundraiser. This party mashes high fashion with dance, as Grant Whittaker Style collaborates with the Dolls.
"A House of Good Repute - The Norma Wallace Story"
This dance/theater piece explores the life of Norma Wallace, who ran a top-of-the-line New Orleans whorehouse from the 1920s through the '60s.
"Nina and Klaus - white punks on dope!"
Musical performance artists of the 80's Klaus Nomi and Nina Hagen come together for an evening of head banging.
