However, visitors will be able to check out some of the museum's permanent collection for free, as well as visiting shows such as "Painter Painter," an exhibition featuring 15 emerging painters from the U.S. and Europe; "The Autoconstrucción Suites," highlighting challenging and playful work by Mexican artist Abraham Cruzvillegas; and Fritz Haeg's "At Home in the City," which celebrates domestic arts such as gardening and weaving.
The Barnes building will reopen fully, and admission will start up again, with the highly anticipated grand opening of "Claes Oldenburg: The Sixties." For more info on all of the goings-on at the Walker Art Center, visit its website at www.walkerart.org.
