If you're planning on attending tonight's big party for Big Smut 7, take note: The event is moving from the Bedlam Community Center to Ground Zero. There will also be a few other changes, but the party will still be awesome.

Although the event has been promoted on Bedlam's site for awhile, yesterday folks at the space were told that show couldn't go on -- at least at Bedlam. Event organizer Reverend Phil made the announcement on our previous post about the event:

The City of Minneapolis has issued a cease and desist order.

Bike Smut has no place to present. If you read this and can help, please do so! email bikesmut@gmail.com

Fortunately, there's a happy ending. Through the powers of the internet, the yearly gathering boasting sex-positive erotic shorts has found a new home for tonight's happening, as folks can now head over to Ground Zero in northeast Minneapolis for the screening. Doors will be opening at little earlier (9 p.m.) and the cover charge has gone from free (with donations suggested) to a $5 to $10 suggested donation (hey, that's still cheaper than a night at the regular movies).

Thanks so much for your help! Sexuality and transport are progressive issues that deserve more contemplation; i think you're gonna love it!

Don't you mean City of Saint Paul? It would make no sense if Minneapolis ordered a cease and desist of the event but still allows it to happen at another venue in the city.

@Erica Different venues have different licenses and can hold different types of events.

@EricaBedlam Community Center, where the event was scheduled to take place at, is located in Minneapolis. (You might be thinking of the new(ish) Bedlam Theater space. Same great folks, different venues.)
