It's not a huge move, but it's one that the art gallery hopes will be beneficial. The business is currently located at 910 Lake Street, right next to Highpoint Center for Printmaking.

"Even though the space is less than a block away from our current location, we believe that it will provide us with better visibility and more foot traffic," says gallery director Japheth A. Storlie.

The wood floors, high ceilings, and off-street parking are perks of the new venue as well. The gallery, which was facing a rent increase at the end of its two-year lease in its current space, will be celebrating the upcoming move with a holiday sale through Christmas.

Douglas Flanders & Associates has been in the Twin Cities area for over 30 years, and has exhibited and sold pieces by iconic artists including Pablo Picasso, Robert Motherwell, Helen Frankenthaler, Andy Warhol, and Roy Lichtenstein. The business also frequently showcases and sales work by local artists.
