With only a few weeks to go before we release our mega-packed Best of the Twin Cities issue in April, we're counting down the days until our old Hollywood-inspired soiree to celebrate the best of the best in local places, services, and more.

It's time to start planning your red carpet-ready looks for our Best of the Twin Cities party this year, and we've got the perfect inspiration for you. What better way to pay tribute to the glitz and glam of the movies than with our very own trailer? We're ready for our close-up.

A new mix of Buffalo Moon's catchy "Machista" provides the backdrop for our Best of the Twin Cities trailer, shot by our very own art director, Emily Utne. The film combines an old Hollywood feel with a contemporary aesthetic that came together with editing by Wonder Haus's Justin Guenther. The glorious black-and-white video shows off the priceless vintage wear selected for the shoot by Behtsee Millman of Via's Vintage in Minneapolis for Julia and Mikala from Ignite Models. The stark lighting in the video also highlights Heath Bryant's makeup artistry and the elegant hairstyling of HAUS Salon's Charlie Brackney.

Without further ado, here's the world-premiere of our 2014 Best of the Twin Cities video:
