Two days after the Minnesota House passed a broad anti-bullying bill, a group of local lawyers, advocates, teachers, and other figures have teamed up to present the acclaimed 2011 documentary Bully for free at the Riverview Theater, and to open up a dialogue about bullying in the community.

"When I first saw the film, I bawled," explains Tracy Reid, whose law firm, Cooper and Reid, organized the event. "It's dually inspiring. As you grieve about it, I think it changes you, because you can't be apathetic to the issue after you see it."

With more snow potentially on its way, it may be hard to imagine a time where swimwear will be appropriate outdoor attire in Minnesota. However, summertime afternoons spent in the sun near a lake are really just around the corner. In celebration of the upcoming season, ARENA DANCES is throwing its annual party loaded with catwalk performances featuring troupe dancers in bikinis, board shorts, and other poolside duds from local designers.

ARENA BIKINI: Neon Glam will showcase looks from designers and boutiques such as Adrienne Yancy, Max Lohrbach, Marissa Bridges, and MartinPatrick3. Win a 'lustful cockmonster' shirt signed by Chris Kluwe

Categories: Free Stuff

Are you a 'lustful cockmonster' or a 'beautifully unique sparklepony'?

By now most people are privvy to Vikings punter Chris Kluwe's colorful letter to Maryland Delegate Emmett C. Burns Jr. Not only did Kluwe become an instant and very outspoken advocate for gay marriage after that letter, but his very public stance led to discourse about homosexuality in major league sports.

Thanks to that infamous letter and numerous requests, Minnesotans for Equality made it easier for Vote No supporters to wear their hearts on their sleeves -- or shirts, at least -- with tees inspired by Kluwe's words.
