Catch Syfy's worst-movie-ever, Sharknado, at three midnight screenings

It's a bird... it's a plane... it's a tornado full of sharks, obviously.
When the Syfy channel created Sharknado, maybe its logic went something like this: Jaws and Twister both scared their way into moviegoers' hearts, so a movie about those things combined was sure to do that doubly.

Or maybe it just decided to create the most ridiculous movie it could, cast Tara Reid, and force everyone to hate-watch it.

Judy Garland's dress sold at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills for $480,000.
More than 40 years after the death of Judy Garland, there's still a powerful mystique surrounding the Minnesota native and anything that she touched.

So much so that last week the blue gingham dress Garland wore in the Wizard of Oz sold for $480,000, trumping items owned by the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Steve McQueen.

"It's an iconic piece," say Darren Julien, owner of Beverly Hills-based Julien's Auctions, which sold the dress. "It's one of those things you look at and you immediately know who wore it and in what movie."

Christina Hendricks of Mad Men doesn't hate Vincent Kartheiser

Christina Hendricks met her husband through Vincent Kartheiser.
This week's cover story, "The Madness in Vincent Kartheiser," examines the Minneapolis actor made good who plays Pete Campbell on the hit AMC drama Mad Men.

In the 11th episode of the show's fifth season, "The Other Woman," we find the problematically ambitious Pete trying to pimp out his longtime colleague Joan Harris to an executive for a Jaguar. The episode is at times hard to watch, and, for some, prompted the question: Is Pete Campbell the most hate-able character on TV (Houston Press puts him right up there with Eric Cartman)?

But off camera, Kartheiser and Christina Hendricks, the actress who plays Joan, are actually good friends. In fact, Kartheiser introduced Hendricks to her husband, Geoffrey Arend, at a magic show. We asked Hendricks about all of this for our profile on Kartheiser. Here's what she told us (via email):

The coveted Fifi "Jurassic Park" Award
Kim Kardashian, Usher, and Halle Berry were all on hand June 10th for the 2010 Fifi Awards, smelling like French harlots in a flower shop. Why? Because the Fifis honor, of all things, celebrity fragrances.

That's right, an entire awards show just to honor vanity projects by bored celebrities who've slapped their names all over mass-produced corporate scents. About time to pack up Western Civilization and start all over, don't you think? But let's have a little fun first - here's the 10 most ridiculous celebrity-endorsed perfumes.

Local fashion designer and Project Runway castoff Christopher Straub had a whirlwind day last Sunday when he debuted his sky-inspired line at the St. Paul Hotel just minutes after being struck on the head by a falling spotlight at rehearsal. Straub took one for the team and slapped a bandage on the wound, as the show must go on.

"I got some cuts on my head, face, and arm," Straub told The Dressing Room, a positive attitude shining through as he added: "I didn't take it as an omen, just as a good story to tell."

After the show, he was approached by none other than America's first supermodel (so she says) and reality star, Janice Dickinson.

Diablo Cody's "Tight" reimagines "Hung" and it's NSFW

If you haven't seen Hung, the series about to start its second season on HBO, it's about a guy who's struggling to keep his life together until he learns he learns that his unusually generous endowment means he can make bank as a male prostitute.

It was probably only a matter of time before satirists had their way with the series, and who better to take up the challenge than Diablo Cody, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "Juno" and former City Pages scribe?

"Tight," which is posted now on Funny or Die, imagines a similar story with a female protagonist.

This is not what you'd call highbrow. If you're watching at work, this is definitely a headphones-up piece of the Internet. And that means, of course, that you'll want to watch it right here:
