Also, The Hot Dish chats with Four Firkins owner Jason Alvey about some of the crazy new beers he’s making available at his shop. One of the most unusual: Old Odense Ale, which is brewed with star anise, black thorn berries, maple syrup and herbs.

“I can’t wait to try it – some beers like this one are so obscure there’s almost nothing about them online,” says Alvey. “They’re just a mystery.”
