Iron Fork: Tonight at 6

City Pages' two-in-one foodie event, Iron Fork, takes place tonight at the International Design Center (off Lyndale/Glenwood, near the impound lot). The first hour involves food and drink sampling--Surdyk's, Barbette, Marla's, Jake O'Connor's, and more. Apparently Sea Salt's setting up an oyster bar if you're bringing a date and you need to get your mojo going....

The cook-off begins at 7, where six popular local chefs will create dishes to showcase one as-yet-unnamed secret ingredient. Best of all, all ticket proceeds go to Second Harvest Heartland, so you'll helping stock food shelves, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, senior community centers and children's after school programs for the coming winter months.
