Lunching at the Arboretum

What dining partner could be better than Mother Nature? Every third Thursday of the month, the Arboretum, in cooperation with the Heartland Food Network, offers a gourmet lunch ($5.99) to its visitors. The menu is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is designed to promote locally grown and organic foods. Today's menu: Gilled Pork Tenderloin with Maple Cream Sauce served with Minnesota Wild Rice Pancakes. Lunch is served in the Arboretum Restaurant within the Oswald Visitor Center on the Arboretum grounds.

The feasts will give you a chance to stop and smell the roses (or these scarlet tulips!). The Arboretum is located at 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chaska, MN 55318.

If you miss lunch, the Arboretum also offers a few special holiday gourmet dinners. The dates of the dinners are: Dec. 5, 12, 19 at 6:30 pm
