Jax live lobster Sundays are back

Jax, the Nordeast institution, claims to be the first restaurant in the state to keep live lobsters in saltwater tanks. If you haven't tried one in the 75-plus years the place has been open, here's your chance.

With lobster so cheap these days, Jax has decided to extend its "live lobster Sundays" promotion, offering a 1.5 lb. whole Maine lobster (pulled from the salt water tank!) and served with choice of soup or Jax house salad, potato, and vegetable for $30. (I'd say that's a price worth not having to kill the thing yourself and listen to it scream.) The meals are offered Sundays from 4 to 9 p.m.--just make sure to make a reservation because lobsters must be requested in advance.
