Recently I caught wind that Erick Harcey, chef at the Nicollet Island Inn, was working on his own restaurant--via his wife's blog, of all things. In any case, the news is now official:

Erick Harcey has partnered with the Inn's former g.m. Ben Hiza to create Gas-tro-nome, (those hyphens are going to throw the City Pages restaurant guide search function into a tizzy...) a gastropub concept in northeast Minneapolis.

Shea is doing the design--apparently to have a "butcher shop" feel--for the space they're taking over at 314 E. Hennepin that they hope to open in May. We're looking forward to it!
