Delta/NWA passengers losing their precious hot meals

Starting Monday, first class passengers flying out of Minneapolis-St.Paul will cease getting hot meals on all flights save those to San Jose and San Francisco. Not having ever flown first class, this seems like a blip on the radar, but apparently it's kind of a big deal.

The change is one of several going into effect next week as part of the Delta/Northwest merger, including the replacement of Northwest's pretzels with Delta's peanuts and the establishment of a "peanut-free zone" on flights.

And now, I will shed a tiny tear and observe a moment of silence for those affected by this grave loss. My condolences, travelers.
