Guthrie presents Beer, Burgers, and the Bard
The Guthrie reprises last month's sold-out event by again wooing audiences to Two Gentlemen of Verona with Summit and sliders on Tuesday, March 17.
The script isn't one of Shakespeare's best (Valentine must be Mother Terese to forgive the deplorable Proteus), but the Guthrie's 1950s staging--the outfits, the music, the TV setup--makes it fun performance. On Tuesday the 17th you can see the show--and have a beer and a burger beforehand--for just $30. I'd recommend signing up early as the last one sold out.
