Now open: American Burger Bar

American Burger Bar opened its doors this week on Wabasha near Fifth St. in downtown St. Paul. The location was formerly occupied by Gallivan's. Heavy Table gives a fair to middling review of new restaurant, taking greatest issue with the sticker shock: $9.95 - $18.95 for a burger.

"For $15, one expects a beast of a burger that knocks you over with its sheer bulk, writes Lori Writer. "Instead, it was meek and overcooked and priced almost twice what a burger costs over at Bulldog in Lowertown, which has nothing over $10 on its dinner menu."
