MNstories shares via Twitter that Northeast Social is "hopefully" slated to open today. As reported last month by the Star Tribune, the new restaurant, located just one baby block east of the Northeast hot pocket of Erte, The Modern Cafe , and the 331 Club on 13th Ave. NE, is in prime territory.
Chef Edward Hayes, Jr., who has worked previously at Heartland, W.A. Frost, i Nonni , and the former Cue reluctantly dubs the fare at the new spot "American contemporary," the Strib writes, with classic comfort dishes like stroganoff and cobbler alongside familiar favorites like burgers and steaks. The restaurant is located in what was formerly Europol Eva's Delicatessen.
