This week's "Best of Hot Dish"
Hands down the best news of the week was Chef Tim McKee winning the James Beard Foundation Award for "Best Chef - Midwest." (If you're wanting a bit more background on McKee, Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl wrote a nice profile of him in the January issue of Minnesota Monthly.) We brought you some other good stuff this week too:
- Michelle Leon introduced us to Town Hall Brewery's chocolate raspberry milk stout. The name alone is satisfying. And it's only five bucks.
- Rachel revealed that she was once passed over for a job on the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile.
- This is not "the best" anything, nor even merely good, but we talked about Legacy Chocolates' unfortunate departure from St. Paul.
- We learned that a new restaurant, Victory 44, has opened in Minneapolis, helmed by the former Nicollet Island Inn chef Erik Harcey.
