A self-serve frozen yogurt shop, the first of its kind in Minnesota, will open up shop next month in Eden Prairie. Owners say they got the idea for the concept -- like a salad bar, but with six flavors of fro yo and a variety of toppings, paid for by the ounce -- from similar businesses on the West Coast. Flavors will include the usual suspects (chocolate, vanilla) along with a few with a little more zing, like pomegranate, mango, and "citrus." The shop's website makes it sound like it'll be a comfy hangout-able location, unlike most ice cream shops where you're more likely to just grab and go. Owners project a tentative opening date of July 13. What do you think about the idea?
