Food, Inc. documentary opens tonight

Robert Kenner's acclaimed documentary Food, Inc., which aims to expose the soulless underbelly of our nation's food industry, opens tonight at the Lagoon. In the vein of "Fast Food Nation" and "Omnivore's Dilemma," Food, Inc. shows how the country's food supply is controlled by just a few corporations with reputations for putting profit ahead of consumer, worker, and environmental health. Expect lots of appalling factory farm scenes plus interviews with sustainable food movement gurus such as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma) and Gary Hirschberg (Stonyfield Farms).
