Now Open: Brookside Bar & Grill

Nancy Ngo of the Pi Press reports that the Brookside Bar & Grill in Marine on St. Croix has reopened, just in time for the rivertown's summertime tourist influx. 
Jeff Hansen, who also runs Big Sandy Sports in McGregor, reopened the 35-year-old institution after it closed last winter -- the second time in three years. Hansen plans to keep the name but change the menu to more pizzas and burgers.
I'm glad to see the place reopen--love the biker-watching on the patio out back--but I hope Hansen improves the burgers, as they were mediocre at best in the previous incarnation.
