Missing chef Emily Streeter...

Chef Emily Streeter, a young up-and-comer who impressed diners at Cafe Un Deux Trois and Bakery on Grand before opening her own spot, Emma's, in Lyn-Lake brought her talent to Richard's Restaurant & Pub in St. Peter last year. I was a big fan of Streeter's cooking at Emma's--fresh, homey dishes brimming with flavor--and have been curious to learn how she's been doing in the kitchen at the quaint, historic Konsbruck Hotel. In this week's Taste, Rick Nelson reports that all's well at Richard's, praising Streeter's lamb tenderloin, beet salad, and coconut layer cake. It made me wish she were still in Minneapolis--and motivated me to consider a road trip.
