Since I could not choose, this week you get to pick from twice the road trip fun.
First, heralded as the world's largest festival of its kind, check out Deer River, MN's Wild Rice Festival. This Friday-Sunday there will not only be tons of great food, including wild rice hotdish and turtle stew, but also a Sunday morning parade AND a flea market y'all. Here is your map
Second, venture over to that other state to see hard-to-spell, but fun-to-visit Trempealeau, WI for Catfish Days. On Saturday and Sunday celebrate those whiskery frowny-faced fishes that taste so delicious. There will be a parade, fishing tournaments, an egg toss (!), and Friday evening music by Trouble Shooter.
Here is your map
Have super happy fun times, my friends.
