Now open: Jackson's Coffee and Gelato
Jackson's Coffee and Gelato is up and running at the corner of Bryant and Lake in Uptown, just west of the Bryant-Lake Bowl. The Southwest Journal reports that the shop features about a dozen flavors of gelato at any given time, with flavors that have included mango, strawberry, amaretto and black chocolate sorbet.

Coffee comes from the Flamenco Organic Coffee Company the Journal says. The shop also sells "sandwiches, chips, bars, baked goods, retro drinks and fruit parfaits," the article says. We're looking forward to checking the place out, sizing up the gelato and finding out what a "retro drink" is. Anyone?
