Chef Shack III debuts at Uptown Market

​ The Uptown Market's taking place again this Sunday, 11-5, along 29th Street between Lyndale and Dupont and the Chef Shack ladies will be rolling out their new Sweet Shack (pic) to sell a small menu of burgers, bacon brats, donuts, creme brulee, and chocolate mousse. Sweet Shack, a 1970 International Step Van, is the latest addition to the Chef Shack family--it's the smallest of the three vehicles in the fleet. The original Chef Shack will still be at the Mill City market on Saturday and Kingfield market on Sunday, serving up a new French toast plate with sausage bacon and fresh wild berries. Chef Shack dos Carrie Summer and Lisa Carlson also just purchased Chef Shack Dos (click link above), so they can cover even more territory. Keep your eyes peeled for Chef Shack vehicles selling pre-work donuts and coffee in downtown St. Paul in the upcoming weeks. For now, Summer says, they're stopping at three. "Who needs kids when you have these trucks?" she says.
